The role of the caregiver is full of challenges and rewards. There will be few other jobs in your lifetime where what you do so dramatically impacts another human being. It’s important you take your role very seriously and understand the responsibilities. As a caregiver, you will not always have a supervisor present and will have to make decisions as a responsible caregiver. In this assignment, read the scenarios and answer how you would handle the situation in the assignment submission.
Scenario #1:
You are working as a caregiver at a assistant living facility. You are working with a client who tells you that they don’t want to eat breakfast in the dining hall this morning and would like a small snack brought to his room. You are responsible to get all the clients in the dining area for breakfast at a certain time to begin passing.

Scenario #2:
You are the night shift caregiver at an adult family home. You notice a client’s sheets have not been changed/cleaned and the client complained that the dayshift caregiver has not been changing their sheets. This is not the first time the client has complained about dirty sheets.

You are working home care agency. You are to care for a critical client that coming morning, but you come down with a flu. You are feeling terrible that whole night and know that you are contagious and unable to care for your client that coming morning.
